Dr Gotman is a Board Certified foot and ankle surgeon who has been practicing podiatric medicine and surgery in Miami Florida for over 30 years. Born in Havana, Cuba her family immigrated to Michigan where she spent her early childhood. She attended the University of Michican Ann Arbor where she received the degree of Bachelor’s of Arts.
Dr Gotman attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland Ohio, graduating in 1985 before moving to Florida for her residency training. She completed a surgical residency program at Westchester Hospital with experience in complicated foot surgical procedures.
As a native Spanish speaker, Dr Gotman was one of the first in the area to service the Latin community. Her experience also includes distinctive leadership roles. As chief of podiatry, she also served as Past Residency Director for both Coral Gables Hospital and Miami Heart Institute. During her tenure, she dedicated her time to training and teaching a new generation of physicians.
To further add to her distinctions, Dr Gotman has also presented at national meetings. In 2010, she presented on Lumbo-Sacral Radiculopathy to the American Public Health Association in Denver Colorado. Currently, she is working on publication that includes the use of growth factors derived from fetal placental tissue. Her use of this advanced treatment has shown significant positive results and many of her patients with difficult conditions have been successfully treated without surgery.
Her leadership has also been noted in the community where her designation as President of the Dade County Podiatric Medical Association spanned two terms. Currently in private practice, she has been named one of America’s Top Podiatrists 2009 -2016.
Dr. Gotman is married with two children. She lives in Miami Beach and enjoys being active in her community.
