A Miami native, Dr. Cook has been practicing in his hometown for over 30 years. He left South Florida for a few years, first to attend the University of Florida, and then to attend the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, where Dr. Cook earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency training program in Flint, Michigan at Genesee and Wheelock Memorial Hospitals.
Dr. Cook is a Board Certified surgeon and a fellow of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a member of the American, Florida, and Dade County Podiatric Medical Associations.
Dr. Cook’s surgical specialties include: bunion, tailor's bunion and hammertoe correction, joint replacement, forefoot reconstruction, trauma, as well as ingrown nail and soft tissue procedures. His practice also includes sports medicine, pediatric foot problems, as well as foot and ankle trauma and he offers both therapeutic MLS laser as well as fungal nail laser treatments in his office.
Dr. Cook is on staff at South Miami and Baptist Hospital, Doctor’s Hospital, Surgical Park and the Medical Arts Surgery Center in South Miami. He is an attending physician at both Larkin and Westchester Hosptial’s Podiatric Surgical Residency Program.
