Dr. Manuel Garrido grew up in Miami, Florida and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami. He later attended Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine where he served as the Parliamentarian of the Florida Podiatric Medical Student Association. After completing his medical education Dr. Garrido completed residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center and furthered his education at Larkin Community Hospital - Palm Springs Campus where he served as the Chief Resident.
Dr. Garrido has experience in all surgical and non-surgical aspects of podiatric medicine. This includes acute and chronic lower extremity pathologies such as bunion and hammertoe deformities, heel pain, nail disorders, joint replacements, tendon injuries, fractures, sports injuries, and pediatric conditions. He has undergone training in a wide variety of surgical procedures from minimally invasive bunion procedures to total ankle replacement surgery.
Dr. Garrido joined Florida Foot & Ankle Associates in 2020 and is in private practice currently working with Dr. Detweiler in Miami Beach located in the Simon Building at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He believes that patients always come first and education and communication is key to offering excellent care to keep his patients on their feet.
Dr. Garrido is Board-Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
