Dr. Elbys Era received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He graduated Valedictorian of his class in July of 2007.
Dr. Era completed three years of surgical residency at Palmetto General Hospital in 2010, where he was trained in complex hind foot, ankle and leg reconstruction, as well as and foot and ankle traumatology. He specialized in external fixations of the lower extremity with a focus in advanced wound care and diabetic limb salvage.
Dr. Era joined Florida Foot and Ankle Associates in 2010, one of the most comprehensive clinical and podiatric surgical groups in South Florida.
Dr. Era is on staff in multiple hospitals around the Kendall area including Baptist and Kendall Regional Hospital. He is currently the Chief of Podiatry at West Kendall Baptist Hospital, a position he has held since the hospital first opened.
