A Miami native, Dr. Alexander Boix has been practicing podiatry for nine years today and enjoys treating foot and ankle trauma cases as well as performing foot and ankle surgery when necessary.

Dr. Boix was interested in the sciences while in college at the University of South Florida and after shadowing a podiatrist, Boix grew interested in the field. He attended Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine and graduated in 2001 on the Dean’s List. He also was able to earn an Academic Merit Scholarship.

After finishing podiatry school, Dr. Boix volunteered for the Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Tampa and completed a community Health Care Internship at the Dade County Area Health Education Center. He has also volunteered at Camillus Health Concern and Seminole Indian Reservation Clinic.
